Lesson 2: Critical Thinking Part I
Utilizing the Subconscious
for Critical Thinking.
(Introduction)
A properly trained subconscious working at about the speed of light using correct logic can be a good thing.
(Logic is the formal systematic study of the principles of valid inference and correct reasoning. Logic is used in most intellectual activities, but is studied primarily in the disciplines of philosophy, mathematics, semantics, and computer science. Logic examines general forms which arguments may take, which forms are valid, and which are fallacies.)
An improperly trained subconscious working at about the speed of light using 'Logical Fallacies' is idiocy.
(Logical Fallacies in informal logic and rhetoric, a fallacy is usually incorrect argumentation in reasoning resulting in a misconception or presumption. By accident or design, fallacies may exploit emotional triggers in the listener or interlocutor [e.g. appeal to emotion], or take advantage of social relationships between people [e.g. argument from authority]. Fallacious arguments are often structured using rhetorical patterns that obscure any logical argument. Fallacies can generally be classified as informal or formal.)
The subconscious runs in the background and utilizes logic in processing an incredible amount of info independent of the conscious. Learn to recognize logical fallacies and your subconscious can help defend yourself against the abuses caused by idiocy from others and/or yourself. Don't train your subconscious properly and you can easily fall into logical fallacies and the idiocy that comes along with it and abuse others and/or yourself.
The choice is yours.
Note: Below is a very good video covering 'Critical Thinking'.
This is the introductory lesson into 'Critical Thinking'. Studies, Real World Practices and more about 'Critical Thinking' will be covered in later lessons.
