Lesson 5: Critical Sarcasm Part I

Using Sarcasm to
defend against idiocy.

(Introductory)

  1. Sarcasm if properly used can be an effective tool to help one defend one's self and/or other's against idiocy; even from oneself.
  2. Sarcasm if used improperly and/or indiscriminately against one's self and/or others can be a sign that the person wildly yielding sarcasm lacks 'Critical Mindfulness'.  Hence, see number one.

Note:  Below is a video example of 'Critical Sarcasm', but first let me share some back story of the clip.  The clip is from a TV series and one of the character in the video suffers from a disorder that makes him unable to recognize sarcasm.  It is a running gag throughout the series.

This is the introductory lesson into 'Critical Sarcasm'. Studies, Real World Practices and more about 'Critical Sarcasm' will be covered in later lessons.
